There are several places to park in the Santa Fe Railyard near the Farmers' Market, including a big lot behind Warehouse 21, the parking garage, and various curbside spaces close to the Market building. The parking garage is located at Camino de la Familia and W Manhattan Ave. (See map) You must pay to park anywhere in the Santa Fe Railyard. Metered lots and curbside spaces are one dollar per hour, seven days a week. On weekdays, the parking garage is $1.80 per hour. On Saturdays and Sundays, in the Railyard parking garage, it costs only one dollar to park for the entire day!
You can find hundreds of varieties of fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables, some available year-round. In addition to seasonal produce, you can always find quality meats, dairy, and eggs; flowers and houseplants; traditional dried foods; superb baked goods; jams, jellies, and honeys; tantalizing body care and herbal products; and original crafts and homespun garments. During the planting season, you can also find compost, worms, and a marvelous selection of bedding plants. Please refer to the crop calendar for more details.
Our vendors may only sell agricultural products they grew themselves in our 15 county region, or crafts and processed items they have made with agricultural products from the area. So everything is "from here"!
See our event calendar. Fun and informative seasonal and special Market events take place at the Santa Fe Farmers Market throughout the year. Additionally, the Market Pavilion is a preferred venue for many Santa Fe conferences and trade shows.
For volunteer opportunities on Market members' farms, please see: www.santafefarmersmarket.com/volunteer/. The Santa Fe Farmers' Market organization is always looking for volunteers of all types. Please contact the office and let us know your availability and we will eagerly assist your further involvement ;).
The Market Pavilion is an ideal location for conferences, trade shows, off-site meetings, film locations, concerts, fund raisers and celebrations of all kinds including Santa Fe weddings. Contact the Pavilion manager at info@santafefarmersmarket.com for date availability and rate and services information.
The Market is not exclusively organic, but many of our growers are Certified Organic, or Certified Naturally Grown, and they post their Certificates or Crop Lists. You can ask the farmers how they raise their crops. We have baskets of beautiful produce grown without chemicals!
WIC and EBT are accepted on all Market days by qualifying vendors. For more information about New Mexico WIC, please visit: http://www.health.state.nm.us/phd/wicsite/index.php and for more information about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) (formerly known as the Food Stamp program), please visit: http://www.fns.usda.gov/fsp/
With the exception of service dogs, dogs are NOT allowed inside the Market vending area due to New Mexico Environment Department regulations. However, a group of volunteers provides dog-sitting service at the Market entrance on Paseo de Peralta. These volunteers will hold your furry friend while you shop. There is no charge for this service, but donations are accepted and encouraged. All donations are given to a dog charity. (Ask the person holding the dogs which charity is receiving the donations that week.)
We love supporting local musicians and non-profits during market events. However, we do require prior approval. Please contact the office for more information.
We have strict rules to protect the quality and character of the Market, as well as an application process. If you are interested in becoming a vendor at the Santa Fe Farmers Market, please read the Rules and Regulations in the Vendor Resource area of the web site. If you qualify, send in an application (also available at the Vendor Resources area) and we will be in touch.
Note: There is currently a moratorium on new vendors that sell primarily processed foods, nursery, herbal, or craft items. However, the Santa Fe Farmers Market always welcomes and encourages new vendors of minimally processed food (produce, dairy, meats, honey), so if your product fits that description, please contact us any time of the year!
The New Mexico Artisans Market includes local artists, craftspeople, farmers, and food artisans from New Mexico. Vendor applications may be downloaded at www.santafefarmersmarket.com/scf/. For more information on becoming a vendor at the Artisans Market, contact Alexandra Merlino at alex@santafefarmersmarket.com
If you would like your contribution to go towards SFFM Institute programs, you may make a donation to the Santa Fe Farmers Market Institute. If you would like to contribute to the Santa Fe Farmers' Market day-to-day operations, please support our online store or our Mercado and Cafe at the Market.
